The show is a comedic documentary-style series that follows a fictional League of Legends esports team as they pursue their first championship. The main title had to work particularly hard. Not only does it set the tone for the show, but it must convey the back story, introduce the characters, and set the scene for a relatively complex premise.
THE JENNIFER HUDSON (JHUD) SHOW
For our launch campaign and social spots, we worked with JHUD (as she likes to be known) to capture her energy, excitement, and optimism for her upcoming daytime show, using a mix of green screen footage, backstage access, still photography moments, and flashy graphics.
We created a tease for The CW launching Jared Padalecki as the reimagined ‘Walker Texas Ranger’. The challenge? Not a single frame had been shot. We created a single, simple metaphor to tell his story, focusing on the weight of every decision Walker makes. Each decision creates the next problem until there is nowhere to go.
The Sky Is Everywhere
Apple TV+ & A24 asked us to create a young, vibrant identity for their movie The Sky Is Everywhere. Lennie, the protagonist, is a teen musical prodigy grieving the death of her sister. Our approach was to create beautiful illustrations of musical instruments that each have subtle missing elements. As they animate, these pieces slowly fill in, becoming complete. The sequence represents the healing process Lennie goes through over the course of the film.
HBO Max asked us to develop a big concept that could bring the best-in-class digital service together with premiere storytelling. We realized if we combined the digital language of the app with the iconic HBO, we could create a sophisticated, immersive, and iconic brand.
LAW & ORDER
After the successful launch of L&O Organized Crime, we were asked to give the OG titles an update. We replaced every shot with either CG or film, shot on location in NY with the help of the show's production crew.
A truly fun experience creating a holiday toolkit for Paramount+ that spanned broadcast, digital, print, and social.
WILLOW IN CONCERT
Paramount+ asked us to imagine a complete halloween takeover. This included on-air, off-air, the app platform and all their social channels. We needed two approaches; one more playful for social platforms and the other a, shocking surprise for the video spots.
LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE
Legends, the game, is back! We created a tease campaign with multiple CG spots, including a digital toolkit that lets users drop Olmec into any environment. An AR app allows you to become Olmec, and a VR experience take you to the jungle. Click here for the rest of the campaign.
CBS ALL ACCESS
We were asked to create a brand spot for CBS All Access. The platform has built an impressive roster of award-winning shows, all under one roof. Our approach was to build off the 3 key drivers for the network: Characters + Stories + Spectacle
Netflix and Martin Scorcese came to us to concept a deeply impactful tease without showing any footage. Our solution was to create a 3D bullet in CG that travels through the frame, becoming the I in each cast name. This killer spot won multiple awards.
